Reuters exclusively reports U.S. crop data may still be issued if government shutdown ends

Reuters exclusively reported that the U.S. Department of Agriculture was deciding whether to delay a slew of key crop reports scheduled for release on Jan. 11. The agency had previously said the reports could be suspended in light of the partial U.S. government shutdown, worrying grain traders who rely on the data. According to a new statement, the agency will delay the reports and wait until government funding is restored to announce new release dates.
