Reuters exclusively reports on Argentina's soybean spoils from Trump trade war

Reuters reported how the trade war between the United States and China was allowing opportunistic players to exploit distortions caused by tariffs and other curbs on trade. In one detailed example, Reuters reporting revealed how Argentine traders are turning a profit by importing cheap soybeans from the United States and exporting soymeal to China. China’s soybean tariffs have nearly halted direct purchases of U.S. soybeans that totaled $12 billion in 2018 and came in retaliation to Trump’s duties on Chinese steel and aluminum.
